Grown right here in Hyde Park, MA. Loquat leaves are a traditional Japanese herb that have been used for their medicinal properties such as disease prevention (through high antioxidant concentrations) and cough syrup.
Loquat leaves can be consumed fresh as a tea. To make loquat leaf tea, remove the veins from the leaves and cut leaves into smaller pieces. Boil leaves in hot water for 5 minutes, remove from heat, and continue to let steep for 10-20 minutes, depending on desired strength.
Potential Benefits- anti-obesity and hypolipidemic activity, anti-thrombotic potential, anti aging effects, anti-allergic, and antinociceptive activities.
